Managing director Supamas Bumrungpanich said she expected gradual longterm growth in the local tourism industry, with many new hotels and resorts scheduled to open in the coming years.
The number of international arrivals, for both tourism and business events, is also expected to rise again once the present political turmoil ends.
"We're not concerned about the political turmoil at this time. We're actually expanding," said Supamas.
To tap this growth, the group has set up four subsidiaries: hotel management firm U Brand Hotel and Resort, event organis
er U Event, hotel developer U Success and travel agency U Travel.This year, the group has focused on developing and man¬aging new hotels, with management contracts already signed with Sawasdee Village Phuket and Chiang Mai
