Wasan Wanit, coordinator of the Young PAD, which is affiliated with the anti-government People's Alliance for Democracy, said students sympathising with the group would begin their "Swarming Bees" strategy today.
He said the strategy was for students to protest in important areas in their provinces and demand the PM step down.
Student sympathisers of the PAD will also begin their "civil disobedience" campaign today by skipping classes for three days.
Wasan also called on students in Bangkok to gather at Makkhawan Bridge - the PAD's protest site - in the morning before holding small rallies at other places around the city.
He said despite news of certain colleges trying to prevent their students from joining the anti-government rally, he learned many university rectors agreed that all students had the right to gather publicly.
"I learned the rectors won't prevent their students from joining public demonstrations. They view protest as a right under the Constitution," he said.
