Political unrest continues with no ending in sight

The political deadlock persists as the opposing camps refuse to budge the People's Alliance for Democracy vows to continue protesting and occupying Government House and embattled Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej repeats his stand of no resignation, no House dissolution.

Immediately after Samak ending his radio speech, PAD leader Somsak Kosaisuk says the prime minister would end up inflaming the sentiment and drawing the crowds to the antigovernment rally at Government House.

Another leader Chamlong Srimuang says the seat of government will remain the rally site and nothing would change. Chamlong says Samak's downfall is certain and this will happen in a matter of days. The PAD will not vacate Government House under any circumstances, he says.

PAD leader Sondhi Limthongkul says after listening to Samak's remarks, he has even more reasons to reinforce his belief why the prime minister should resign.

Sondhi criticises Samak for spreading lies in order to cling on power. He claims the Samak tried to distort the facts relating to the resignation of Foreign Minister Tej Bunnag.
