Most city schools will reopen today.

Watrajabopit and Rajavinit schools will start classes again tomorrow. An education source says Wat Sommanas School will remain close for one more day.

Capital schools temporally shut for student safety for two days following Tuesday's deadly clashes between pro- and anti- government demonstrators.

Central Bangkok-area education chief Rapipan Eksupapan says it's up to each school when they open again.

Students have been assigned work to complete at home during the shutdown and there will be "make-up classes".

Private Education Commission head Bundit Sriphutthangkul echoes her sentiments.

Schools further from the protests will open today if there is no rekindling of street battles.
