Diesel down by 60 satang on Thurs

Oil retailers will slash diesel pump prices by 60 satang per litre, to be effective on Thursday.

This is the 17th price decrease since July, bringing the combined diesel price down by as much as Bt12 per litre. In the same period, gasoline prices have also been brought down by Bt10.40 per litre.

PTT President Prasert Bunsumpun said that oil prices remain volatile. Dubai crude oil on Wednesday was down to US$101.30 a barrel as Hurricane Gustav have missed oil production areas and refineries. Oil refineries would then resume operations late this week, while Nigeria could soon resume the crude oil exports. Refined diesel in Singapore accordingly dropped to $119.65 a barrel.

At PTT and Shell stations in Bangkok, diesel B5 would be Bt31.74 while diesel B2 would be Bt32.44.
