NetApp Promotes Business Growth in Thai Market

Focus on strategic marketing and provide service-oriented storage and data management

NetApp utilises storage and server virtualisation to gain business advantage and promote business growth in the market.

Storage and data-management solutions provider NetApp (Thailand) country channel director Thanes Bordeesorn said this year the company intends to focus on strategic marketing and provide service-oriented storage and data management to its customers.

"We have developed our own technologies and innovative storage and data-management solutions based on storage-area network (SAN) -- a single and unified platform -- network-attached storage (NAS) and IPSAN environments," Thanes said.

He said the company will provide virtualisation solutions, data protection and unified storage to cover mid-range and large enterprise in the Thai market. He said the company will provide a demonstration of the applications at the NetApp Innovation Centre (NIC) in Singapore for customers who opt for these innovative solutions.

The NIC is a showcase centre for the ASEAN region where partners and customers can obtain training and view demonstrations on new applications in order to test them before deploying the solutions in their organisations.

The demonstrations cover a broad range of virtualisation technologies for next-generation storage based on single and unified platforms from solution partners, such as Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, SAP and Symantec.

He said the company has set up seven NICs across the globe, such as in Singapore, Australia and the United States.

"ASEAN is one of the fastest growing regions of our company, especially the manufacturing, financial services, government, education, energy, healthcare and telecom markets," Thanes said.

In the first half of this year, NetApp ASEAN reported a revenue growth of more than 60 per cent.

NetApp Thailand expects the revenue growth to rise about three times (300 per cent) by the end of this year in line with the market growth.
