EC chairman Apichart Sukkhagganond, in his capacity as party registrar, is expected to forward the report on party dissolution to the Office of the Attorney General as part of the pre-trial preparations.
The public prosecutors have about 30 days to prepare for trial before lodging the case with the high court.
It is expected that the preparations will be swift because the EC has already gathered additional evidence as per the request of the prosecution.
The party dissolution case is a fallout from Yongyuth's electoral fraud conviction.
On its July 8 decision, the Supreme Court found Yongyuth guilty of campaign violation by paying local officials ahead of the last year's general election to sway votes in Chiang Rai for his party and a party's constituency candidate La-ong Tiyapairat, who is his sister.
Yongyuth was sentenced to disqualify from holding his House seat and having his voting right revoked for five years.
