Ribbed, smoked rubber sheet No 3 to debut in CCom

The Central Japan Commodity Exchange, or CCom, will soon introduce ribbed, smoked rubber sheet No 3 to its rubber index.

Agriculture Futures Exchange of Thailand president Nitus Patrayotin said CCom was adjust¬ing the weighting of its rubber index and would include ribbed, smoked sheet No 3, which cur¬rently traded on the Thailand mar¬ket.

The adjustment, Nitus said, meant the index would better reflect global rubber prices.

The exchange here approved CCom's use of the product.

This will allow Thailand, the world's No1 rubber producer and exporter, to participate more in world price indication. The CCom index is used locally and interna¬tionally.
