Expected to be completed in 2010, the park inside the Science and Technology Ministry's premises coves 10,000 square metres in space.
Driving the park are scientists from Kasetsart University, Mahidol University and Chulalongkorn University.
"The Innovation Park will focus on the cooperation between private companies, universities' research centres and financial institutions. Through international connections, this would drive the country to knowledge-based economy and benefit industrial improvement in the national scale," said National Innovation Agency Director Supachai Lorlowhakarn.
The agency has supported over 300 innovation projects, with a budget of over Bt300 million.
Supachai said the projects have drawn over Bt7 billion of private investment. Most of the innovations are for new industries, such as bio-plastic.
