The Thai stock exchange plunged 15.84 points or 2.34 per cent in the morning session, following the massive protests of anti-government protesters. The SET Index dropped 11 points at the market openning. As of 12.30am, the SET Index fell further to stay at 662.36 points.
About 80 anti-government protesters armed with knives, guns and golf clubs stormed NBT TV station early morning of Tuesday and briefly forced it off the air. Tens of thousands laid siege to government ministries including the Finance Ministry.
