
Covering 100 rai, the project can generate 100 megawatts. Sustainable Energy wins Bt1.5 billion from the contract, while the entire project requires an investment of Bt6 billion including the purchase of 50 wind turbines.
Sixty megawatts from the project would be sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and 40 MW to the Provincial Electricity Authority. The project design should start in September and the construction license is expected early 2009, said Pradej Kitti-itsaranon, Demco's managing director.
The construction works are slated for completion within 2010.
He said the company plans to take on five wind power plant projects with combined capacity of 500MW, having Sustainable Energy as the co-contractor. The value of each project is at least Bt6 billion. - The Nation
