
The energy executive committee yesterday approved an increase in contributions to the Oil Fund from sales of all fuel products, effective immediately.
Energy Policy and Planning Office director-general Viraphol Jirapraditkul said the fund's daily revenue would then rise from Bt17 million now to Bt34.4 million, or just over Bt1 billion a month.
The increase will not affect pump prices, because the crude-oil price is continuously easing, but without it the Oil Fund could experience losses in the next three or four months, due to financial obligations. - The Nation
Nestlé celebrates 75 years of Bear Brand powdered milk
Nestlé, the world's leading nutrition, health and wellness company, is spending Bt100 million on its new Bear Brand Double Luck campaign in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Bear Brand powdered milk.
Customers buying Bear Brand Advance and Protextion products will receive a chance to win one of more than 10,000 prizes. Also, limited-edition Bear Brand gold medals with a combined weight of 75 baht will be given away in lucky draws.
The four-month campaign is aimed at bolstering the brand's No-1 position in the Bt8-billion powdered-milk market.
Nestlé will also launch a social campaign to enhance the immune systems of underprivileged children. The company will donate more than Bt750,000 worth of Bear Brand Protextion powdered milk to several non-profit organisations.
Nestlé has also joined with Carrefour Hypermarkets to organise sales promotions targeted at Carrefour I Wish members, as well as events in other trade channels. - The Nation
