Two Thai boxers march to Olympic final
Two Thai boxers, Athens Olympic gold medallist Manus Boonjumnong and Somjit Jongjohor, marched into the Olympic boxing finals on Friday.
Veteran flyweight Somjit handed a lesson to Italy's Vincenzo Picardi in a one-sided bout before registering a comfortable 7-1 victory.
The Buri Ram native will battle it out for the gold medal with Cuban fighter Andris Laffita Hernandez at 6pm.
Manus followed suit by taming Roniel Iglesias Sotolongo of Cuba 10-5 in the light welterweight division. The defending champion will face Felix Diaz of Dominican in the final at 7.30pm Bangkok time.
