Yongyuth's sister re-elected by big margin

People Power Party's Chiang Rai MP candidate La-ong Tiyapairat who was yellow-carded by the Election Commission has won the by-election in Chiang Rai's constituency 3, election director Attanop Chuchan said on Monday.



La-ong won 70,184 votes, far ahead of Democrat Party MP candidate who won 19, 480 votes.

La-ong is the sister of former House Speaker Yongyuth Tiyapairat who was red-carded in same general election and later was disqualified by the court for electoral frauds in July.
