Blue Elephant International has formed a joint venture with Krit Srichawla, chief executive of Fico, the owner of the Grand Millenium Sukhumvit Hotel, to open a restaurant in Phuket. It will be the second Blue Elephant restaurant in Thailand and the thirteenth in the world.

Team Precision has appointed Rich Fitzgerald as its chief executive.

Joining the ranks as the only non-Thai on Team's board, Fitzgerald has more than 18 years of experience in the electronics industry. Fitzgerald succeeds Chakaphan Manatsathit who will remain chairman of the company.

Like father, like daughter

The managing director of Landy Home (Thailand), Piched Maneerattanaporn, is a happy man as his eldest daughter has recently earned a bachelor's degree in economics with first-class honours from the prestigious London School of Economics. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Piched has two master's degrees, one in civil engineering from Tokyo and the other in business administration from Thammasat University.

Complaints at a click

Employees can now have their complaints heard by government authorities with much less effort by anonymously posting them on a Web board on the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare's website. However, a human-resource executive told Human Focus his company was getting into trouble as a few employees wrote untrue claims on the Web board.
