Bangkok to host fashion conference Thailand is to host the Asia Fashion Federation conference in Bangkok to improve cooperation among textile- and garment-manufacturers in Asia.



The Thai Garment Manufacturers' Association (TGMA) will handle the arrangements for the conference, which will be held during the Bangkok International Fashion Fair |and Bangkok International Leather Fair at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre between August 26-28.

TGMA vice president Yotsathon Kijkusol, said |fashion experts and major manufacturers in the region would discuss fashion trends in Asia to boost the region's influence as a trend-setter in world fashion markets. - The Nation

Aust-Thai flights

New air-services between Australia and Thailand will benefit bilateral tourism, |said Australia's Tourism Minister, Martin Ferguson, during a recent visit to Bangkok.

He said the Australia-Thailand aviation market was Australia's sixth largest, as more than 80,000 Thais visited the country last year, with a further 225,000 travellers en route transiting via Thailand.
