KSC Commercial Internet Becomes a Solution Provider

Focusing on corporate clients with the offer services to niches corporate users

KSC Commercial Internet has expanded its business to become a solution provider focusing on corporate clients and has comes out with business solutions for the market.

Business development and marketing department vice president Praphon Phongprapat said that this year, the company will transition from being just an Internet-service provider (ISP) to being a complete solution provider that will offer services to niches corporate users.

"ISPs are forced to provide inexpensive services because there is high competition in the market. Therefore, it has become necessary for us to venture into a new service line, and provide customised and business-on-demand services for niche market," the vice president said.

The company will provide business solutions in nine categories covering 40 domains, such as communication, logistic, knowledge management, security, CCTV, voice over IP, point of sale and accessibility for corporate users.

The company has also introduced two broadband packages - the KSC Broadband Lite, which provides Internet speeds of 1 to 4 Mbps, and the KSC Broardband Prima, with speeds of 512 Kbps to 4 Mbps - that are compatible with True and TOT telephone lines. The prices start from Bt890 and Bt2,990, respectively.

He said KSC Broadband Lite and Prima customers can access the Internet free of charge at more than 10,000 KSC hotspots across the country.

"The new services allow customers access the Internet anywhere, any time at hotspots, such as Starbucks coffee shops, hotels and hospitals," Praphon said.

The company has more than 10,000 broadband subscribers, comprising 60 per cent corporate users, and about 500,000 narrowband subscribers.

He said that this year, the company expects about 20 to 50 per cent business growth, compared to last year, based on expectations of additional revenue from the new services.

"I think that the total Internet market in Thailand will grow 15 to 18 per cent this year. Customers are expected to not only look for low-priced services but also seek high-quality solutions," Praphon said.
