Diesel drops another 80 satang

PTT will lead oil retailers to cut diesel by 80 satang per litre, effective on Saturday.

Diesel B5 at PTT stations would then be Bt34.34. Since July, diesel has dropped for a combined amount of Bt9.40 per litre.

PTT President and CEO Prasert Bunsumpun attributed the price decrease to the weakening of global prices. Refined diesel in Singapore weakened to US$135.94 a barrel on Friday.

Yet, he noted that risk factors remain, including violence in Nigeria, the nuclear conflict in Iran, the hurricane season, and British Petroleum's delay of crude oil export from Turkey.
