
AIS tells ministry it wants to team up with TOT on 3G
Advanced Info Service executives met with the Information and Communications Technology Ministry yesterday to inform it that AIS wants to join its concession owner TOT in developing a 3G mobile broadband service.
The move follows the Cabinet's approval in principle for TOT to spend Bt29 billion on rolling out the 3G network across the country. - The Nation
Prachuab to stand down as TT&T chief next month
Prachuab Tantinon, president of TT&T, will resign from his position with effect from September 1, according to the company's filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday.

BankThai reports disposal of its CDOs for Bt2.58 billion
BankThai informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday that it had already disposed of its collateralised debt obligations (CDOs) through a bid from arrangers and other investors. The bank received US$77.04 million (Bt2.58 billion) and the disposal amount will be booked in the current quarter.
BankThai had set aside a provision of $211.93 million for the CDOs. - The Nation
