Chaiya targets over 15% export growth

Newly appointed Commerce Minister Chaiya Sasomsab has assigned his deputy Banyin Tangpakorn to take charge of the Internal Trade Department, while another deputy Pichet Tancharoen will take care of the Foreign Trade Department.

Under his reign, Thailand's export growth this year will exceed 15 per cent to US$175 billion. To achieve the goal, the ministry will set up six additional trade offices overseas to drive export growth in new potential markets this year.

He also ordered the ministry to set up the Trade Economic Office to directly handle for all trade agenda.
