Viroon Tejapaibul
Viroon was out of office as a result of the Cabinet reshuffle. He left the post a day before the Constitutional Court would rule if he breaks the law, as his wife holds more than 5 per cent in a private company. The Constitution bars ministers or spouses to hold over 5 per cent in a private company.
He noted that amendment should be maded to this rule, or no businessmen would take the political positions which would be a disadvantage to the country.
"I don't feel bad for the change which involved the excessive shareholding and other unclear issues. If I were the prime minister, I would do the same thing. Though, good people should not fear politics, or the country would not survive. They should come to lend help. Though I am dismissed, as a long-time businessmen, I will pursue my will to help the country," he told reporters.
