Thai inflation surges to new 10-year high.

Thai inflation hit a fresh 10-year high of 9.2 per cent in July, due to surging oil and food prices, the commerce ministry said Friday.

The consumer price in the first seven months (January - July) rose to 6.6 per cent.

Core inflation, which excludes fresh food and fuel prices, accelerated to 3.7 per cent in July, up by 0.2 per cent from last month.
