Market resilient to Pojaman's fate

The Criminal Court's ruling against former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's wife Pojaman and other two accomplices should create no psychological impact on the sentiment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand, said SET President Patareeya Benchapholchai.

She noted that the verdict was expected and all parties are expected to follow the rule and should not induce any disturbances that could affect the investment sentiment.

"Khunying Pojaman, Bhanapot Damapong and Kanchanapa Honghern are not directors or executives of any listed companies," Patareeya said.

The SET Index on Thursday ended 6.42 points or 0.96 per cent higher to 676.32 points, on turnover of Bt12.9 billion.
