The Criminal Court ordered Suthinant Wanghomklang, Mongkhol Sriphool and Chatree Joowanna to jointly pay Bt4,326,500 in reparations to victim Benjaphol Wiriyarampha's mother.

The three men were Pathum Wan Institute of Technology students. The court commuted the death penalty for their confessions and cooperation with the police.

Suthinant shot Benjaphol as he rode pillion on a motor¬cycle driven by Chatree. Mongkhol was riding another motorcycle with an unidenti¬fied pillion passenger who shot the victim, too, and then stabbed him several times on the ground.

The three were convicted of illegal possession of weapons and fined Bt60 and jailed concurrently for a year.
