Court injunction sought to dismantle PAD-led protest

A group of six education officials on Tuesday petitioned the Civil Court to issue an injunction against the rally site of the People's Alliance for Democracy at Makawan Rangsan Bridge.

The six contend that the PAD-led demonstration has intefered with the work at the Education Ministry.

They ask for the rally site be moved 200 to 300 meters from the present location and away from the ministry. They also seek a stop to protesting activities and the use of loudspeakers from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

The court has convened a hearing on the matter before its ruling.
