The riders of Rama VIII bridge

As soon as the riders jump on to their saddles it seems that their bikes are a part of their bodies: they control every move, jumping, hopping, even riding up obstacles.

This is the scene we found in the evening at a public park at the Rama VIII Bridge, where a big group of riders gathers every evening to practice.

Not only do they have fun together, but they also share their riding techniques with newcomers, so it's not surprising that the number of riders in the group has expanded from a few people to hundreds.

In the crowd there are both mountain bikes and BMX bikes and many forms of practice, including trials, street, downhill, and flatland runs.

"Don't be too serious and don't come with high expectations when you're just starting to ride, because you won't enjoy it as you should. Just have fun and practice a lot," says Takol Sangkaboon, 24, winner of "MBC", the MBK Biking Contest 2008 and a nationally recognised cyclist.

Besides biking tips, you can also learn to ride safety, protect yourself from accidents and shop for bikes and accessories.
