Court to decide on disqualification of Virun
The Constitution Court will next Tuesdsay start hearing the disqualification case of Deputy Commerce Minister Virun Techapaibul over the allegation that he violated the Constitution by holding shares in a private business exceeding the legal limits of five per cent, Paiboon Varahapaitoon, secretary-general of the Office of the Constitution Court said on Wednesday.
He said the court will summon concerned parties for testimonies on next Tuesday. The move came after a group of Senators filed the suit seeking the court ruling on the matter.
Paiboon said although the Election Commission rejected to rule on Virun's disqualification case, the court would not bring the matter into consideration.
