New BOT directors finalised
The selection committee has finalised the list of the Bank of Thailand's five new directors, said Vijit Supinit, chairman of the selection committee.
"We have reached the conclusion who would be the new chairman," he said after the meeting on Tuesday evening. "All have qualified credentials and extensive experiences in various fields, the right qualities to work for the central bank."
He said that the list would be presented to the Finance Minister on Wednesday. Then, the Cabinet is expected to endorse the list at the next Tuesday meeting.
The new board of directors is being sought following the amendment of the Bank of Thailand Act.
