Hun Sen replies to Samak's letter over Preah Vihear

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has replied to Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's letter dated July 19 indicating that International Court of Justice's ruling delivered on June 15, 1962 found that the Temple of Preah Vihear was situated in territory under the sovereignty of Cambodia, a source said on Monday.

Hun Sen expressed confidence in the letter that the joint effort by the two countries would dissolve conflicts over the matter.

Samak sent the letter to Hun Sen on Friday saying Cambodian's deployment to troops to the disputed area near Preah Vihear had aggravated the situation.
