Barcelona agree to sell Ronaldinho to AC Milan

Madrid - Barcelona have agreed to sell Ronaldinho to AC Milan for around 21 million euros (33.38 million dollars), according to Spanish media reports.

The deal between the Spanish and Italian giants was struck late on Tuesday night, after a day of intense negotiations between Barca president Joan Laporta and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.

Barca could receive up to 4 million euros more, according to Ronaldinho's performances for Milan.

Laporta confirmed the deal by telling the expectant media that "Ronaldinho has our permission to go to Milan tomorrow and undergo medical checks."

Milan hope to present the Brazilian playmaker to the media on Wednesday, after checking up on his medical condition.

Ronaldinho, 28, had not played for Barca since March 9, amid talk of invented rumours and an unprofessional nightlife.

He joined Barca from Paris Saint-Germain in 2003 and guided the Catalans to two Spanish league titles and one Champions League, before apparently losing his enthusiasm for life in La Liga.
