Kosan adopts a fresh marketing strategy

Kosan Electronics (Thailand), a South Korean manufacturer of air purifiers and Scana brand fans, plans to distribute its purifiers to offices and mid- to high-end property projects.

Kosan wants to link up with shopping malls to arrange co-marketing campaigns.

It also expects to export its fans to Indochina - Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia - plus Burma, in addition to current export markets in India and Malaysia.

Marketing activities for air purifiers were set after an earlier effort to attract corporate clients such as Siam Cement Group, Samitivej Hospital and Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Implementing the move will enable the company to survive at a time when the market has slowed down.

And boosting export markets will enable the company to maintain its targeted sales despite fierce competition on the domestic scene, Kosan marketing manager Puttipong Thepwarin said yesterday.

The company expects all these efforts will help it achieve targeted sales of Bt120 million by year-end.

Kosan Electronics has seen sales of Bt60 million during the first six months.

It focuses on arranging marketing activities and promotions.

Currently, it has three distribution channels, which are 27 selling points in Power Buy and Power Mall, plus 15 in Index Living Mall and dealers.
