Three lawyers face ethics probe

The Law Society of Thailand on Wednesday apponted a five-member panel to launch an investigation against three lawyers of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra for breaking lawyer ethics over the Bt2 million bribery allegation.



Pichit Chuenban, Supasri Srisawat and Thana Thansiri who represented Thaksin in Ratchadapisek land purchase case are serving six-month jail term for contempt of court. 

They delivered a pastry box stashed with Bt2 million banknotes to a high-ranking court official of the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Political Office Holders last month.

The three are aso facing police investigation over the bribery allegation.
