A group of senators is planning to seek impeachment against all members of the Cabinet in the wake of the Constitution Court's ruling yesterday that the recent Thai-Cambodian communique on Preah Vihear Temple was an international agreement and, as such, required parliamentary endorsement.
They had earlier said they would file a case against the entire Cabinet via the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) with the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Political Office Holders.
Klanarong said if the NCCC received the impeachment case, it would set up a panel to probe the matter or the NCCC itself conducted the investigation. All will be given chance to defend themselves and if the NCCC ruled with majority votes that they committed offences, they have to stop carrying out their official duties, he said.
Klanarong said the NCCC had yet to receive any complaints involving the matter.
