Singer scared by Sanchai's gun

Sanchai is the son of a former permanent secretary for finance and Revenue Department director Somchainuk, and is married to wellknown actress Thanyares.

Singer Nattachanon Banjongpru, 23, says Sanchai threatened him with a gun at a convenience store at about 1.30am yesterday after he had been beaten with a club by Sanchai's associate.

"He hit me after I tried to prevent him from picking a fight with my friend inside the store," Nattachanon says. Nattachanon is the vocalist with the band Mr Team.

Nattachanon says Sanchai entered moments later. "He pointed a gun at me and my friend."

His friend rushed to seek help from some waiters at the nearby pub where they had just performed.

Nattachanon required 15 stitches in a wound sustained during the alleged assault.

Lumpini police are investigating the complaint.
