Government urged to settle management of disputed zone

Opposition Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva on Tuesday urged the government to reserve the rights to protect the country's sovereignty and ensure that the country would not be taken advantage over demarcation of areas around Preah Vihear Temple.

Abhisit said the government must come up with measures and steps to be taken after the Hindu temple has been listed as a UNESCO's World Heritage Site so that the country would not face receding soereignty from the listing.

He suggested that the government should quickly settle with Cambodia over the management of the buffer zone.
