New fixed deposits from bay

Bank of Ayudhya is offering a special 10-month fixed-deposit account with interest of 3.1 per cent per annum for a minimum amount of Bt50,000, 3.3 per cent per annum for a minimum of Bt2 million and 3.3 per cent for a minimum of Bt20 million.

The special account will be available until the end of the month, Roy Gunara, head of consumer banking, said yesterday.

Thailand's fifth-largest bank by assets is also providing two new time-deposit products. The six-month fixed-deposit Krungsri Saver Plus gives 0.5 per cent on top of the interest rate for the bank's six-month time-deposit account for amounts from Bt5,000 to Bt299,999.

The 24-month time-deposit withholding tax-free account offers 0.5 per cent plus the interest rate for the 12-month time-deposit account for amounts from Bt1,000 to Bt24,999.
