Noppadon summoned to testify on Preah Vihear Temple

The Constitution Court on Thursday summoned Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama to testify relating to the Thai-Cambodian joint communique on Preah Vihear Temple he signed on June 18.



The summons specifies for Noppadon to appear before the high court no later 9 am on Friday. If he chooses, he can move his hearing to today at 3 pm.

Based on two separate petitions from the House and the Senate, the high court has decided to launch a judicial review to give its legal interpretation on whether the communique constitutes a treaty under Article 190 of the Constitution.
