The Cotto Tile Studio in Bangkok's Taling Chan district is themed "the biggest and best cotto in town" and will be superior to anything built before, marketing manager Prasit Nopparatnapalai said yesterday.
Recently, the company modernised its showroom at a cost of more than Bt7 million in accordance with consumer demands for a more sophisticated store.
The moves are expected to help boost DP Ceramics' sales to Bt550 million this year after sales grew 25 per cent to more than Bt450 million last year, Prasit said.
The original showroom space for Cotto was expanded from 150 square metres to 600.
The studio will have modern facilities and professional salespersons. It will provide its customers with a 3-D design system that will pre-design a toilet so that they can see exactly what they want before buying.
Besides increasing the area for Cotto products, 700 square metres will be allocated to Kohler, Karat, American Standard, NAHM tile RCI, UMI, Duragrace Sosuco and other imported brands.
DP has put aside more than Bt10 million for its marketing strategy. Many promotional events and exhibitions have been planned to help push sales up by 30 per cent in the first half of this year.
The company holds third place in the market. All this month, a purchase of more than Bt50,000 will give the customer a free microwave oven, more than Bt100,000 a refrigerator and above Bt200,000 a home theatre system. Finally, with any purchase of more than Bt300,000, the customer will get to take home a 32-inch LCD television set.
