New True corp chief

True Corp's Supachai Chearavanont has now been succeeded by Pete Bodharamik, 36, as Thailand's youngest telecoms tycoon.



As his father, Adisai, phoned him to take up the post when he was in Hong Kong, Pete has been at the helm of Jasmine International as its chief executive the past three months. Until now, Pete had refused to work for Jasmine, which his father had founded, and instead established Mono Group, which brings out celebrity-gossip magazines.

Chevron's donation

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production recently presented a Bt56.7-million donation to Phra Dabos Foundation, a royal initiative by His Majesty the King to provide occupational education to underprivileged students. The donation came from fund-raising activities in the "Chevron for Phra Dabos Foundation" campaign organised to celebrate the occasion of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne.

seminars on creative growth

Thai companies touched new heights in developing and promoting creativity and innovation within their organisations this year, Sarun Chantapalaboon, of 37.5 Degree Celsius, said. Sarun's company has provided creativity-training programmes to many companies and will hold three training courses this month. The first one on "Creative Organisation Development" will be organised tomorrow at Baan Rai Coffee, Ekamai, while the Innovation Leadership and Creative Thinking courses will be held on July 8 and July 11, respectively.
