Thailand’s hope, Boonsak Ponsana, will battle with Thai hot youngster, Tanongsak Saensomboonsul, in the quarter final in SCG Thailand Open Badminton Championship on Friday.



      The Thai ace and second seed, spent only 27 minutes to beat Anup Sridhar 21-10 21-14 to set up a third round clash with  Thanongsak, another Thai’s hope, tomorrow at Nimibtr Stadium. Apart from Boonsak, another young Thai ace also advanced to the third round is Thanongsak Saensomboonsuk. He used a powerful stokes to beat Kashyap P from India in 33 minutes [21-14, 21-19].

      “I’m confident with my performance and I’m sure that it will be continuing until the end of the tournament” Boonsak said.

         Meanwhile, Porntip Buranaprasertsuk was the only woman who went through the quarter final round in SCG Badminton Championships. She spent 47 to beat Anu Nieminen from Finland [19-21, 21-13, 21-16]. On the other hand, Salakjit Ponsana, Boonsak’s sister, missed to follow her brother to the quarter final round which she lost to third seeded, Chen Wang from Hong Kong, in the third round [21-16, 21-15].
