Three lawyers are to face criminal charges for bribery

The Supreme Court will file a complaint with police to press criminal charges against three attorneys for ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra and his wife Pojaman who were sentenced to six months in prison after being convicted of violating court authority for attempted bribery on Wednesday.



Anan Wongpraparat, secretary to the Supreme Court said on Thursday a crime of bribery is an offence in accordance to Article 144 of the Criminal Law.

The court will file a complaint with Chanasongkram Police Station police against Pichit Chuenban, Supasri Srisawat and Thana Tansiri who represent Thaksin in the case in which the former prime minister was accused of abusing his authority to secure a land purchase in Ratchada area for his wife, Pojaman.
