ISO standard for IBM outsourcing unit

IBM Solutions Delivery, the outsourcing unit of IBM, has become the first Thai company to be awarded the ISO/IEC 20000 for its services.

BOT and BankThai meet over sale

Bank of Thailand Governor Tarisa Watanagase yesterday called Phirasilp Subhapholsiri, president of BankThai, and the bank's directors to a luncheon meeting. The move came amid the Finance Ministry's concern over the Financial Institutions Development Fund's sale of a 42-per-cent stake in BankThai to Malaysia-based CIMB Group.

Phirasilp declined to say whether the bank's capital adequacy ratio was enough for business expansion, should the ministry not approve the new investor holding more than the foreign-ownership ceiling. - The Nation
