Krung Thai Bank to sell 6,000 nonperforming assets

Krung Thai Bank (KTB) is planning a sale of 6,000 nonperforming assets (NPA) worth Bt15 billion between June 16 and June 27 at its branches across the nation.



Most of the assets that will be up for grabs at the "KTB NPA Grand Sale" are detached houses, townhouses, double houses, undeveloped land, commercial buildings and condominiums, KTB senior executive vice president Sayan Satangmon-gkol said.

The company is offering a discount of up to 40 per cent on the assets. The bank expects sales worth Bt2 billion at the event, Sayan said.

Customers can avail a special financing package at the event which includes zero interest for the first year and then 0.25 per cent less than the minimum rate on mortgage loans.
