
He also denied news reports that he instructed Crime Suppression police to issue warrants for the AEC membersssets Examination Committee members for the suit.
He said the Crime Suppression police had the right to decide whether they want to issue the warrants. "I cannot instruct them to do so. The investigators have the authority,'' he said.
He denied that he would replace the current investigators who probe the libel cases against the AEC members and that there has been political interference in the case.
He said he believed the investigators have not yet issued arrest warrants for the AEC members. He would summon investigators to show him if they have issued summons in accordance to correct legal procedures. "I want to know if the investigators have complete evidence to issue summons and if they carried out their duty up to the standards,'' he said.
