Thailand is expected to make Bt116 billion in fiscal 2008 from petroleum operations in the Malaysian-Thailand Joint Development Area, up Bt9.8 billion from fiscal 2007, said Energy Minister Poonpirom Liptapanlop. Firms gain from stock transactions
Live Inc, Bliss-Tel and International Engineering have been named as three listed companies in which stock-trading transactions have been more than double their outstanding portfolios. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) said the first-quarter trading gains of these companies were also more than 5 per cent of their total asset value.
The SET quoted Live Inc's auditor as saying without the extra gains, the company would have shown losses for the quarter. Gains from the transactions accounted for 58 per cent of Live Inc's revenue. - The Nation

The UK's Processing and Packaging Machinery Association, with support from UK Trade and Investment, has organised a group of British companies to exhibit at ProPak Asia 2008, being held from tomorrow at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Foodland increases product prices 5%
Foodland Supermarket plans to increase the number of its house-brand food products, to serve customers, including a greater variety in its sausage products. Deputy managing director Sanguan Ternwiwat said economic conditions were making customers more careful in their shopping.
