Q concierge opens doors

Quintessentially (Q), the UK-based luxury lifestyle concierge service, aims to sign up 2,000 local members by next year after opening an office in Bangkok last year.

Ben Elliot, the co-founder and marketing director and also a nephew of the Duchess of Cornwall, said Thailand was a key market for the group with its many millionaires and successful people in various businesses.

Many Thais travel and need exclusive services, including automatic access to a wide range of the finest lifestyle and entertainment venues across the globe.

The company offers two levels of membership.

For an annual fee of Bt200,000, a "dedicated" member will get one-on-one support from 9am-6pm from a personal account manager in his home country, and the support of the Q team elsewhere.

Elite Membership, by invitation only, charges Bt1.5 million per year, for which the member will be guaranteed services wherever and whenever he wants. Priority will be given at all events with limited access.

Established in 2000, the group now has offices in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and South Korea and will soon open in Indonesia and Australia.

The Oriental Hotel, Amanpuri Resort and Metropolitan Hotel are among its partners in Thailand.
