The recently launched Daily Xpress freesheet has meanwhile established itself as a mass-circulation English-language daily.
Nation president Pana Janviroj said responses to its new formats had been very positive.
The Daily Xpress has gained a market of younger readers.
"The two media outlets are a perfect mix in terms of readership and advertising opportunities," said Pana.
Nation editor Thanong Khanthong is confident the emphasis on business and politics will mark a new chapter for the prize-winning publication and sets it apart from rivals.
