Chuwit : I still respect Banharn

The Criminal Court has scheduled May 30 to rule whether to launch a judicial review into the defamation suit between Chart Thai Party leader Banharn Silapaarcha as plaintiff and his renegade party executive Chuwit Kamolvisit.

The date was set after the Friday's hearing on plaintiff arguments on cause for charging Chuvit for libel.

Chart Thai MP Kamol Jiraphanwanit told the court that Chuwit had made fiery comments to portray Banharn as narrowminded leader in running the party and in making a unilateral decision to join the People Power Partyled coalition in January.

He said Chuwit's critique of Banharn was malicious and did not reflect on the true nature of his leadership.

Meanwhile Chuwit said after attending the court's hearing that he still respect Banharn and he would find time to visit and talk to him after May 30.
