ThaiSomdej to expand facilities
ThaiSomdej Logistics plans to expand its warehouse area in the Wyncoast free zone by 5,000 square metres after positive feedback from foreign clients and in line with the country's policy of becoming a logistics hub.
Earlier the company had operated 2,640 square metres of warehousing, including air-conditioned facilitiees. Recently it expanded its overall space by 1,872sqm for general goods and an additional 200sqm for products that require temperature control.
It also expanded the space outside warehouses for products that require an open-air area by 3,000sqm.
"We have received good feedback from clients," managing director Picheat Chansate said yesterday.
The firm's warehouses are in the Wyncoast free zone, with proximity to Suvarnabhumi Airport, Laem Chabang seaport and Bangkok port.
The company developed its warehouse management by using such systems as Warehouse Management System, E-payment and Paperless Custom Clearance.
More than 70 per cent of its customers are foreign firms.
