CEO Supachai Cheara-vanont said yesterday that SIM cards fitted with radio-frequency identification (RFID) would go on sale for Bt149 next Friday at True shops.
The cards can be used at tenants of the Esplanade shopping complex, such as McDonald's, CP Fresh Mart and Major Cineplex, as well as at True shops nationwide.
The company will extend the list of partners accepting the card.
Subscribers have to sign up with the True Money wireless payment service to use the RFID cards.
RFID uses radio waves to automatically identify objects.
Supachai targets 100,000 RFID service members this year.
Starting Monday, all 13,000 employees of True Corp, the parent of True Move, will use the RFID card in their mobile phones to gain access to their office building instead of their electronic company ID card.
True Move has over 12 million subscribers. True Corp's businesses offer cellular, telephone, pay-TV and broadband Internet services.
